Stephanie Huwiler receives ETH Medal
Congratulations to our PhD student Stephanie Huwiler. On the 13th of December she was awarded the ETH medal for her outstanding Master’s thesis titled “Interaction of brain and heart activity during sleep” (supervisor: Dr. Caroline Lustenberger, tutor: Prof. Walter Karlen). In addition, she was awarded the Willi-Studer Prize for being the best student of her ETH Zurich Master’s degree programme. This is an outstanding achievement. We are proud and happy to have her on our team!
NCM's Brain-Computer Interface Team for CYBATHLON 2020 featured in the media
NCM scientists together with their collaborators from Nanyang Technological University Singapore will participate in the Brain-Computer Interface Race at CYBATHLON 2020 in Zurich. Euronews accompanied our team during a training session with the pilot Samuel Kunz, who suffers from severely impaired motor function. Kunz operates a digital race car by motor imagery.
Andreea Cretu received the SSN travel fellowship to attend the Organization for Human Brain Mapping in Rome, Italy
More exciting news from our lab: Andreea Cretu was awarded the Swiss Society for Neuroscience (SSN) travel fellowship. She will present her most recent results showing how motor resonance measured in primary motor cortex using transcranial magnetic stimulation is modulated by the reward associated with observed actions. Congratulations, Andreea!
